Tonantzin Artizan chocolate combines organic raw cacao (70% min.) from the criollo cocoa bean plant, with fine quality tart ingredients to give it a vibrant zesty flavour.
The tart taste of lime, combined with Prickly Pear which lies deep in Aztec myth, creates a flavourful combination of quality cacao and ancient "superfoods".
This chocolate bar uses chocolate crafted from the criollo cacao bean, a rarer style of cacao bean that is traditionally only grown in Venezuela, Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Colombia, Samoan Islands, Sri Lanka and Madagascar. It is an aromatic bean that is said to lack the bitterness of other popular cacao beans.
This block is handmade in the Yarra Valley (Victoria, Australia).
