Tonantzin Artizan chocolate combines organic raw cacao (65% min.) from the criollo cocoa bean plant, with fine quality ingredients, giving it caramel and fruity tones.
The caramel tones of protein rich Mesquite, combined with fruity mango and "warm" chilli, creates a flavourful combination of quality cacao and ancient "superfoods".
This chocolate bar uses chocolate crafted from the criollo cacao bean, a rarer style of cacao bean, that is traditionally only grown in Venezuela, Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Colombia, Samoan Islands, Sri Lanka and Madagascar. It is an aromatic bean that is said to lack the bitterness of other popular cacao beans.
This block is handmade in the Yarra Valley (Victoria, Australia).
