It is the responsibility of the sender to provide full and correct address details and in the case of same-day deliveries ensure someone is available to accept the delivery.
If there is a need for re-delivery via Australia Post or courier due to error from the sender or receiver such as incorrect address details being provided or no one being available to accept the delivery, the cost of re-delivery will be 50% of product cost and 100% of shipping cost.

The Chocolate Box team utilizes the services of Australia Post. To avoid a late delivery, especially during peak seasons and holidays, please be sure to provide our team with an address which is accessible during normal delivery hours (i.e. Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM). Due to regulations, if no one is present at the delivery site upon arrival, the package will be rerouted to the nearest post office to be collected at the recipient's convenience. Australia Post will leave a dated postcard with instructions on collecting the package. We thank you in advance for your understanding of this policy.
The Chocolate Box offers free standard shipping to one nominated address within Australia, for product purchases placed online over $100 (AUD).
Extra deliveries to separate addresses will be charged at the flat rate of $14.99 (AUD) or similar rate if organised over the phone, or the calculated delivery rate returned by our website. You may use our calculator on the shopping cart page to calculate delivery costs.
Our Hot Weather Protection is charged separate to shipping, at $10 per delivery address. To find out more about Hot Weather Protection, view our Frequently Asked Questions.
Some bulk chocolates may be excluded from the free shipping offer. This will appear on the product page where relevant, so you are aware of the charge prior to placing your order. Free Shipping does not apply on our 1kg bags during the Big Bag Sale in January and June.
Some free shipping hampers under $100 are also eligible for free standard Australian shipping. They will have "free shipping" in the title and refer only to free standard Australian shipping only.
Place your order before 10am for urgent deliveries using Express Post, which should allow for overnight delivery to addresses within the Australia Post Express Post Network in Melbourne and Sydney.
You can choose the Express Post option during checkout.

STANDARD POLICY
We have developed a 'hot weather protection' pack , available to purchase for $10 at the checkout online or over the phone. This consists of an ice block wrapped inside a protective silver foil lined thermal bag, and bubble wrap and tissue paper to line the box. This pack has been tested to keep your chocolates cool during transit for approx. 5 days.
To ensure that your chocolates and confectionery arrive at their destination in the best possible condition, The Chocolate Box may delay the shipment of chocolates if the weather is extremely hot.
If your order is placed on a Friday, we may send products on the following Monday so that the products do not sit in a delivery depot over the weekend. Melbourne and Sydney customers may choose the option of picking up their order from one of our stores upon arrangement. In any instance, if your order is being delayed, we will contact you on the phone number or email address provided.
Due to the fragile nature of our chocolates, we highly recommend that Hot Weather Protection packs are included in your order during the hotter months from October to April. We also recommend the purchase of hot weather protection all year round for the following locations: Northern Territory (AU), North Queensland (AU), North Western Australia (AU) and all international locations.
Refunds will not be offered for any heat affected products unless a hot weather protection pack has been purchased during these months.
All international pricing has had the cost of hot weather protection included in the shipping rate.

We offer same day delivery to selected Melbourne metro addresses on for a flat rate of AU$20, Monday to Friday. Service not available on weekends or public holidays.
Orders will need to be placed by 10am on the day of delivery.
It is your responsibility to ensure that there will be someone available to accept the delivery. If there is a need for redelivery via courier or Australia Post you are responsible for the additional charges incurred.
Sydney metro same day deliveries will need to be quoted by phone based on your delivery location. Please phone our Sydney store at +61 2 9693 1899, and we will arrange this for you.
Our shopping cart will automatically recognise your delivery suburb by postcode, and if it matches one of the locations below, the Same Day delivery shipping option can be chosen at checkout. (Sydney deliveries need to be organised by phone or email. Please note: products from our online store may not always be available at our Sydney location, so it is always best to check with the store before placing an order). If you live next to these postcodes, or your suburb is not coming up, please telephone and we will look into it for you.

Orders placed through our online store can be sent to selected international addresses, including New Zealand. (Please see our New Zealand delivery special).
International orders to other locations can be made via email: enquiries@chocolatebox.com.au or phone (Melbourne number): +61 3 9676 6401 and delivery will be calculated based on the order weight and delivery address.
We regularly send orders to New Zealand, USA, UK and Singapore. We recommend sending via Express Post International, through Australia Post, to take advantage of tracking and signature on delivery, and a 2-7 business day delivery time frame.

All international deliveries include a hot weather protection pack ($10) in the calculated shipping price.

We dispatch Monday - Friday from our warehouse in Port Melbourne, Victoria, and all orders placed before 3pm will be sent out the same day. The Chocolate Box sends all orders by Parcel Post via Australia Post, based on weight and location, anywhere in Australia.
