Shipping & Delivery

FREE SHIPPING on all orders of $150 or more (up to 8kgs).

*During SALE periods, FREE SHIPPING applies when spend is $150+ (AUD) AFTER discount is applied.

Standard Shipping: $15 for orders up to 8kg.  Over 8kg an additional fee will be incurred.

Delivery Alert : Due to additional safety measures in our warehouse, we are experiencing some delays to dispatch.

Delivery times: Australia Post has advised some delays due to high volume. You can also keep up-to-date with Australia Post’s alerts here.

Contactless Delivery: 
Contactless delivery is available with shipping. Tick the "Authority to Leave" option on the Shopping Cart page, and nominate a safe location to leave your parcel. Our same day delivery couriers also practice contactless delivery.

 


It is the responsibility of the sender to provide full and correct address details and in the case of same-day deliveries ensure someone is available to accept the delivery.

If there is a need for re-delivery via Australia Post or courier due to error from the sender or receiver such as incorrect address details being provided or no one being available to accept the delivery, the cost of re-delivery will be 50% of product cost and 100% of shipping cost.

EXPRESS POST SHIPPING: We recommend choosing Express Post for quicker deliveries. 

SAME DAY DELIVERY: Melbourne city and suburbs - Please order by 10am for same day delivery to selected Melbourne suburbs. 

 


 

 


Free Standard Shipping for orders over $150

The Chocolate Box offers free standard shipping to one nominated address within Australia, for product purchases placed online over $150 (AUD) and up to 8kgs in weight.

Please note that during all SALE periods, free shipping applies when spend is $150+ (AUD) AFTER any discount is applied.

Extra deliveries of up to 8kg to separate addresses will be charged at the flat rate of $15.00 (AUD). 

 


Click & Collect Options


Click & Collect (store pick up) is available from our Port Melbourne, Camberwell, Royal Melbourne Hospital and Brighton stores.  All online orders are fulfilled from our online store.

Contactless Phone and collect is also available from our Sydney store in Potts Point.

Covid-safe measures are in place at our store. To click and collect via our website, order online and select the free "CLICK AND COLLECT" delivery option, and write your store of choice in the delivery field underneath the shopping cart before you click checkout.

The Chocolate Box will contact you using your supplied contact details when your order is ready for collection.

Phone ordering using a credit card is also available. Phone (03) 9676 6477 during business hours. Arrange a time to collect the order with the sales assistant taking your order.

 



 

 


Express Post Delivery


We are following advice from Australia Post and suspending Express Post timeframe guarantees.

Place your order before 10am for urgent deliveries using Express Post, which should allow for speedy delivery to addresses within the Australia Post Express Post Network in Melbourne and Sydney.

You can choose the Express Post option during checkout.

Hot Weather Protection


STANDARD POLICY

We have developed a 'hot weather protection' pack , available to purchase for $10 at the checkout online or over the phone. This consists of an ice block wrapped inside a protective silver foil lined thermal bag, and bubble wrap and tissue paper to line the box. This pack has been tested to keep your chocolates cool during transit for approx. 5 days.

To ensure that your chocolates and confectionery arrive at their destination in the best possible condition, The Chocolate Box may delay the shipment of chocolates if the weather is extremely hot.

If your order is placed on a Friday, we may send products on the following Monday so that the products do not sit in a delivery depot over the weekend. Melbourne and Sydney customers may choose the option of picking up their order from one of our stores upon arrangement. In any instance, if your order is being delayed, we will contact you on the phone number or email address provided.

Due to the fragile nature of our chocolates, we highly recommend that Hot Weather Protection packs are included in your order during the hotter months from October to April. We also recommend the purchase of hot weather protection all year round for the following locations: Northern Territory (AU), North Queensland (AU), North Western Australia (AU) and all international locations.

Refunds will not be offered for any heat affected products unless a hot weather protection pack has been purchased during these months.

All international pricing has had the cost of hot weather protection included in the shipping rate.

Same day delivery (to Melbourne & Sydney Metro only)


We offer same day delivery to selected Melbourne and Sydney metro addresses for a flat rate of AU$25, Monday to Friday. Service not available on weekends or public holidays.


Orders will need to be placed by 10am on the day of delivery. 

It is your responsibility to ensure that there will be someone available to accept the delivery. If there is a need for redelivery via courier or Australia Post you are responsible for the additional charges incurred.

Our shopping cart will automatically recognise your delivery suburb by postcode, and if it matches one of the locations below, the Same Day delivery shipping option can be chosen at checkout.

Deliveries from our Sydney store need to be organised by phone or email.

Your order may take up to 8 business days for delivery depending on the destination and the distance from Melbourne. Please note: The Chocolate Box team utilizes the services of Australia Post. To avoid a late delivery, especially during peak seasons and holidays, please be sure to provide our team with an address which is accessible during normal delivery hours (i.e. Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM).

Due to regulations, if no one is present at the delivery site upon arrival and the location is not considered safe, the package will be rerouted to the nearest post office to be collected at the recipient's convenience. Australia Post will leave a dated postcard with instructions on collecting the package. We thank you in advance for your understanding of this policy.

We dispatch Monday - Friday from our warehouse in Port Melbourne, Victoria, and all orders placed before 2pm will be sent out the same day. 

The Chocolate Box sends standard delivery orders by Australia Post Parcel Post.
